Scrapping Good Time FB Group - Moodboard

When I was given this moodboard as design team member, I immediately remembered a packet of plastic autumn leaves that I had purchased last year with the thought of adding to scrapbooking somehow. 

I then had to hope that I could find an autumn photo and I didn't think that was possible, so I put this challenge aside and worked on other photos in my 2017 album. Whilst flipping through the photos in page protectors I discovered a photo that I had taken from passenger seat to depict the lovely autumn leaves on the side of the road as we drove to small country town.

I found some of the other colours in the moodboard within a Jen Hadfield 12x12 paper pad and starting playing by dropping the leaves onto the white paper and photo.

I got more purposeful as I continued and in the end it made this beautiful layout. Layering paper behind the photo, and add paper border around the white layout.

I love the colours and realisticness of the leaves that add the artistic page. I only needed a plain white thicker phrase as a title and some journaling to round out the page.

Evening everyone, I wanted to give you a quick run down of how I store my kits from Kitaholic Kit Club so that I feel inspired and I can see clearly what I have to work with when getting creative. First thing to know is that I purchase all five of their monthly kits - their main, pocket page, mixed media, embellishment and paper add on kits. This gives me an amazing selection that complements each other superbly to work with for ages. Secondly I use a really useful 7l box that I purchased from Officeworks in Australia. It is 12 x 13 inches box that has an insert tray that has compartments that are perfect for embellishments and the bottom section is great for paper (don't even have to cut off the branding strips) and thickers and bigger packets or items.  Here is a direct link to the product online. 12x12 Layout --- "When they were only weeks old"

So I used the sketch from Scrappingclearly  facebook page, that I have added down below, as my base/guide. To begin with I freehand drew a heart on the white cardstock and used scissors to cut it out. Then on the back I added million different shaped fun foam to lift the heart. Once I decided what patterned paper I was using to backfill the heart I stuck the lifted by fun foam heart cutout on the paper. This was from Ubud dreams by Kaisercraft - you can check it out here.... Sekar paper I was looking at the sketch regularly to guide my layout in a positive manner. I noticed that the sketch looked like was patterned paper or like had crackled background, and I was thinking the white was looking bare. I tried to add stitching (hard after adding so much fun foam) and I didn't like it. I remembered I had gotten Heidi Swapp Teal modelling paste and used heart stencil from Kaisercraft to add some randomly placed hearts, both on white and inside the cutout
